Description
To celebrate pride month at Literacy Partners with a social media campaign across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X, I designed a series of graphics highlighting queer writers and their works for two consecutive #pridemonth campaigns.
Client
Literacy Partners, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing family literacy
Design Process
In the first set of graphics (2022) I employed a bold, heavy serif font and portrait cutouts on rainbow color blocks, creating a collaged, newspaper-inspired aesthetic to stand out in the feed scroll. By the second set (2023), the graphics took on a different tone with a gradient rainbow background and embossed book covers, delivering a softer simplistic design with books as the focal point. I adhered to the client's request by discreetly placing the logo to the side with blendable colors, strategically de-emphasizing the organization to amplify the focus on content.
Result
Both carousel posts achieved over 1K impressions and over 8% engagement rates, prompting organization to expand the literary spotlight content for Banned Books Week and Small Business Saturday.
